Quick & Easy Chia Seed Jam

A simple, delicious, and nutritious way to enjoy fruit with a boost of fibre and omega-3s!

Ready in just 5 minutes, this jam is perfect for spreading, topping, or mixing into porridge etc.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (approx. 500g) raspberries (frozen or fresh)

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 3 Tbsp whole chia seeds

  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup or honey (optional)

  • Optional: Sprinkle of cinnamon when serving (get some more goodness into you. Cinnamon is not just delicious but can help with managing blood sugars)

Note: This works with any juicy fruit—try blueberries, blackberries, or a mix!

Method

  • Add the raspberries, vanilla extract, and maple syrup (if using) to a pot. Cook over low heat, stirring, for 3 minutes, until the berries break down.

  • Stir in the chia seeds and cook for five more minutes on low heat.

  • Remove from heat and let cool. The jam will thicken as it cools.

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
